This fantastic upside down house caught our eye this week. Created as part of an exhibit at the All-Russian Exhibition Centre in Moscow, the contents of the house have been installed upside down, floors have become ceilings and tables, cabinets and lamps hang down, creating a brilliant illusion. Great ideas don't have to be over complicated to be effective. We were mesmerised this week by this art installation in rural California. Lucid Stead is an abandoned shack in Mojave Desert, which has been clad with horizontal mirrored strips - giving the illusion that the structure is semi-transparent. READ MORE

i-Spy: The Rising Moon Pavilion

We love this beautiful pavilion made from recycled water bottles and LED lights that has been on display in Hong Kong. 'Rising Moon' was commissioned as part of the mid-autumn festival Lantern Wonderland 2013. The designers wanted to create something that replicated a full moon, so placed the glowing hemisphere on a section of still water. The reflections are quite mesmerising. READ MORE
